Sydney - June 2004

GPC Electronics has joined RosettaNet Australia as its first User Member and Board-of-User Member.

As a User Member GPC Electronics will be able to share in the RosettaNet B-2-B electronic trading standards and have access to the RosettaNet's Partner Interface ProcessesÔ (PIPsÔ) and the education and training services of RosettaNet Australia. As a Board-of-User Member, GPC Electronics will have the opportunity of setting the implementation direction of RosettaNet in Australia.

Andrew Greatbatch, VP Corporate Development said today that RosettaNet standards will give GPC Electronics a more efficient method of trading with its partners. "We are very pleased to be involved with RosettaNet Australia and we aim to use these global standards to help our customers to improve their international competitiveness", Greatbatch added.

"It's been an exciting time for us" said Steven Pereira, RosettaNet Australia Director. He added that RosettaNet Australia became the 8th Asia-Pacific RosettaNet affiliate during April and said, "It was always great to sign up our first User Member". Together with GPC Electronics, Pereira said that he looked forward to paving the way for B-2-B electronic trading using the RosettaNet standards to Australia's high tech and semi-conductor manufacturing sectors.
